The garden in April

Monilinia affects blossoms and twigs. Infection occurs during bloom. Spraying must start at that time and be ongoing.
Heavy greenfly infestation can crippled young twigs. Light befall can be ignored.

Good timing for all planting activities – Trees, shrubs and roses.

Now is time for fertilizing: fruits trees, berries, roses, rhododendrons, conifers, lawn.

Lawn care: dethatching, aeration, sanding, fertilizing and weed control. Start moving the lawn regularly.

Spring pruning of roses, clematis; cut back withered forsythias.

Turnover compost.

Mow your lawn frequently, but not to short (ideally cut 1/3 of the blade)
